I know some of you may be in the web design industry and / or experience in DNS jargon and troubleshooting ... Now is the time to prove yourself!
Which is the point of completion, a friend asked me to review the new website that has been building your home business but I am having trouble viewing the site actually.
Last week we changed servers to a U.S. host.
This week I'm getting a lot of error 404 (page not found / broken link).
She has two computers at home - making the old site (from the previous host) and set out the new.
Sometimes I have the new home page ... sometimes I get the old page - but I have problems accessing other pages.
I can follow a link to get there, but the copy / paste the URL in a new tab, Google can not find it. .
What the hell is going on? Summoning all of my super wide knowledge and DNS hosting (ha!!) Diagnosis clearer I can see is that the DNS changes have not taken effect yet complete ... but after a whole week? That is a stretch of the imagination, even for my standards. I guess if there was any problem with the DNS (if you add new IP addresses, and not delete the old one) that I would not be able to see the site at all - true or false? Could be the cause - you have doubled your IP address?
I've been able to access the site through a private window in Firefox - but not all pages.
Using the normal Firefox window that sometimes find a new home page ... but can not access other pages.
And I can not access it in Explorer.
It is currently in contact with the support team of hosts, but I'm impatient ...
Anyone have any idea? This will be one of those really obvious solution staring me in the face, right?
